CSR
We draw comparisons to the Avengers, to Sam and Frodo, or the infamous lawyer duo Harvey & Mike – we speak of heroes and their companions who improve or even save the world. We want to match this mentality with our own ambition. Every small step counts but we strive to go big: We follow several approaches, continuously expanding our portfolio to meet our own standards. Our effort starts with sustainable stationery and an electric car fleet, but it doesn't end there. Thanks to our partners we have many sustainable options for events. Projects such as the game joint booth or our gibl rely on a design and booth building system, that can be reused by others and us in the following year. Gamesforest
From Germany all the way down to South Africa and back – pixel by pixel, we support various environmental projects through the gamesforest.club and plan to make a new contribution every year, expanding on our very own digital forest.
PERU
Since December 2022, we have been protecting an area of 420 square meters in the Peruvian rainforest. This area has been legally purchased and protected by means of land titles. Wilderness International only enters this area for research and educational purposes – otherwise nature can thrive undisturbed.
HARZ
Since 2018, Germany has lost over 5 % of its total forest area due to monocultures and environmental impacts. In December 2023, we donated 55 native trees for the reforestation of the Harz Mountains to do something good on our doorstep!
BRAZIL'S RIVERBANKS
We try to interweave and organically integrate sustainable concepts with our existing and future projects. For example, IFA Management GmbH has been investing in Brazil's riverbanks as part of the school tours at IFA since 2023, thereby protecting flora and fauna. The classes on the school tours are literally taking a step towards a greener future with every step they take at IFA each year. We are taking these steps even further and are intensifying our own efforts in Brazil by protecting an additional 500 sqm of the Tietê riverbanks. This way even more rainforest and wildlife is protected from the growing expansion of industrial agriculture.
PLAN INTERNATIONAL
We have been involved in supporting children with donations in developing countries through PLAN International since 2021. With our donations, PLAN International takes care of areas such as basic medical care, providing children with school materials, but also supports the construction of infrastructure such as wells or schools.
OPERATION XMAS CHILD Christmas without presents is no Christmas, especially for children! Every year, we are involved in the Operation Christmas Child campaign and pack presents with school materials, clothing, hygiene articles and toys to bring joy to children in precarious circumstances and support them. We even get to be Christmas elves by helping to pack and send the parcels directly on site at the operations’ facilities during the Christmas period.
GAMING AID E.V.
Together with many other companies from the gaming industry, we support Gaming Aid through our membership in various sponsorship and donation projects. We have a special connection with Gaming Aid, as our esteemed colleague Christiane Gehrke is a member of the association's board. Whether it is the support of young talents through scholarships in game-related courses of study, or the financial support of other important projects, such as Straßenkinder e.V. or the donation distribution center in the Ahr valley: Gaming Aid is committed on behalf of the entire gaming industry.
DEMOKRATIEFEST SPANDAU
Our constitution and our democracy are worth protecting and deserve to be celebrated. That's why we joined forces with the district of Spandau and supported the city in organizing a festival for democracy, marking the 75th anniversary of the German constitution. Thanks to our partnership with INSTINCT3, various influencers such as Kalle, Fabian Siegismund, FiNessi and Freiraumreh were on stage between musical interludes by the participating schools to set an example for our fundamental values with various presentations.
